Local Chapters (Subcommittees)
MIRID's Local Chapters are not recognized by our parent organization RID - Local Chapters are in essence Local Chapter Committees (subcommittees)
MIRID has eight subcommittees to serve as a local extension of MIRID. MIRID oversees the subcommittees to help foster leadership roles and give more opportunities to sign language interpreters for professional development. Each chairperson for each subcommittee has a position on the MIRID Board. The subcommittee meets and conducts business under the umbrella of its parent organization of MIRID.
